I actually made a mistake in mine. I meant: 3, 2, 4, 5, 1 from least to greatest. I don't know how that happened. But do you really think season 5 is the second worst season? It had the most shocking moments in the shows history, not to mention the best beginning and ending of any season.
Worst to greatest.

6 is up for debate, leaning between 5 and 2 but if they lay out some heavy stuff in the last couple hours it has the potential to leapfrog over two.
Prior to season 6, season 5 could have been my second favorite. Season 6 has soured my enjoyment of season 5 a big so as of now at THIS moment 14 episodes into season 6 Worst to greatest...
4 and 2 were nothing special, but season 4 had Audrey Raines; so it beats season 2 for the worst. Season 5 was a good season of 24 and it was much better than 4 and 2. The beginning and ending were great, but much of it seemed to be filler. Season 1 was a very good season mainly because it was the first and was a original. I have been a watcher from the first episode, so season 1 has a special place in my heart.
Now I don't understand why everyone hated season 3. It had some of the best scenes ever in 24. The death of Sherry Palmer and the death of freakin' Nina Myers were both done in this season. And the execution of Ryan Chappalle was my personal favorite Jack Bauer kill of the entire series. It was well done; I in-turned began to like the character, but he was dead so he was not coming back. Then at the end of the season Jack cuts Chase's hand off with an ax. Come on, who didn't like that.
Season 6 has been disappointing. As of right now it is the worst. I will give it a chance and not judge it until the end.
Maybe it's the lack of action that I didn't enjoy. Nina dying to the end is some of the best 24 ever. The start of season 3 isn't that great and rewatching there are a few screw ups (jack tony gail being "in" on it from the start, chases baby). Michelle should have died also of COURSE she's immune to the virus ;-)
