I really really liked it. Gameplay wise, it's really flawed, and the ending is a total letdown, but if you're a big fan of the show it's worth it just for the feeling of actually being in a 24 episode.
Stylistically, the game is identical to the show; there's just way too much action without enough plot or character development, and the controls are sort of wonky. If you're a fan of the show, it's worth a rental at the very least.
i got the game but i haven't played much....the story and how they emulated the look and feel of the show is the high point.....if on a strong system the two window gameplay could have been really cool.
hopefully it will sell enough so they can make a better one for the ps3
I'm not thinking the game did very well. There was very little buzz surrounding it, and you, van, are the only one that I know that bought it. It will probably be a one shot deal. There might be another with the 24 movie comes out, but that one will probably be worse as movie games are required to suck.
I've played this game. If it wasn't so repititive, I woul've given it a fair score of 7.0/10.0. But near the ending of the game, shooting people gets boring and old and the driving mechanics are terrible. I gave it a 6.5/10.0 dince the CTU computer puzzles were fun, but limited. Sniping missions were decent, and if it wasn't for the repetitive shooting, killing people is fun too. Even if the hostiles surrender, you can snap their necks. If you're a hardcore fan of 24, this game is worth a couple of rents. Maybe even a buy. I have the cheat codes for the game, if anyone wants them. I've made a topic about it, so check it out.
I loved the game. Kind of reminds me of games like Winback and KillSwitch both classic "stop and pop" shooters. As far as repitition, it is based on a show where a man runs around LA killing bad guys in order to eventually kill the head bad guy, we all should know what we were getting into.
I really need to finish this game. I bought it the day it came out and at the time I was busy with classes and working and god knows what else I never finished it. Hopfully soon I will be able to beat it and give a proper review.
